“Live in the seasons of life” is just one of the chapters in this thought provoking, heartfelt and inspirational book. Each chapter is an accumulation of spiritual lessons, positive affirmations, scriptures and meditations, to help you be inspired to find your blessings inside the storms. Excerpt from “Live in the seasons of life” I remember saying to myself after each funeral I had to attend, after each doctor visit, after each time my son would runaway and come back home, “Lisa this is just the season you are in, this too will pass.” When we are in those seasons of life that challenges our very core, take a breath and dress appropriately. Clothe yourself with what is needed at the time….
How did this book come about? When I could no longer hear my truth and I was stuck in my past, my pain and my perspective, something had to be done. I decided as a wife, mom and business woman to take 8 -10 hours each Monday and just get silent for a year. I would pray, meditate and read books that inspired my soul in silence, no communication to world. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I am so grateful, my family, friends and clients honored this decision. In this book you will find, meditations, reflections, affirmations and life lessons, I learned and had to unlearn, to hear the voice of God and my truth again. This practice unblocked so much inside and changed my life in ways I could not imagine. Things that I had been praying about and desiring, start flooding into my life and I found me, again. It was not easy to face some hard things about myself, but it was worth it and it has changed the lives of those around me as well. Sometimes we have to unplugged to really connect.
What is this cookbook about? It’s about bringing local farm fresh produce into to our homes again. One of my fondest memories, is going every summer to Lagrange,Ga. to visit my two uncles, they both were farmers. We would sit on their porch and shell peas, eat fresh yellow watermelon straight from the vine and yes bath in a tub in front of a wood burning stove. Older I get more my soul yearns for days of old, but that is how food is, it takes us back to simpler times. In our society today, we are getting more conscious about where our food is coming from and rightfully so, it’s time to get back to eating the way our grandparents did. This cookbook is filled with delicious, simple and easy whole food recipes that are nourishing and flavorful. You will find gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and raw options here to explore and enjoy with your family. Not matter which is your favorite, remember to always Set the Table with Love.
