Spring is in the air and we all are quarantined to our homes, hopefully this time has given you the beautiful opportunity to cook more with your family. In my family there are two cooks, myself and my younger son, Tyler.
Tyler loves to cook, but grilling is his passion. While he was away at college, he grilled with his roommates all the time.
However, I am not a griller. I love being on a gas stove, in my home, without fragrance of smoke throughout my hair. When he got home I was overjoyed to be able to cook again with my son, until he mentioned, ” Hey, Mom we should get a grill. I could make you all kinds of things.” Hmm.. I was very hesitant, because charcoal is not healthy for you or the environment and did I mention the smoke.
Well of course, we came to a compromise, because I saw how much grilling meant to him and I knew grilling would also lift his spirits as well.
So we settled on a gas grill and my son has been cooking us delicious meals on the grill everyday. See it wasn’t necessarily about the grill, but the togetherness it brings our family and how much grilling makes my son happy. We are all in this together. Remember to always Set the Table with Love, no matter if it’s a picnic in your backyard or at your formal dining table. đź’•
