I was scrolling through my social media, just looking at people’s stories and this thought danced across my mind; It’s interesting who we value and why. It’s even more interesting how that value shapes our views of ourselves and others. Why do I allow people to put a price tag on me? If they label me with being valuable then I am and if they label me as, Lisa is only good for this, then I am as they say. But am I?

However, I know that’s not true, but why is it so important that my value come from someone outside myself? Maybe it’s the way our society is set up, but that doesn’t really matter at the end of the day. It’s how I see myself that does. So here’s another thought that danced across my soul after a moment of contemplation.
We can not be afraid, nor desperate to give up the truth about our worth to have something or someone that doesn’t value it.
Either they see your worth or they don’t.
It’s not your job to prove it.
Just keep being God’s masterpiece.
The right ones will recognize a priceless work of art when they see it.
